This curriculum booklet explores the relationship between communication design, digital systems, and childhood in contemporary culture. Titled Design, Ethics, and Childhood, the project examines how platforms such as TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Roblox, and educational technologies shape attention, behavior, identity, and learning through algorithmic and engagement-driven systems. Developed as a curriculum manifesto, the booklet combines critical writing, research, designers for discussion, case studies, and visual analysis to investigate the ethical responsibilities of designers within digital environments. Through both theoretical and visual exploration, the project questions how childhood is increasingly shaped by systems of surveillance, behavioral prediction, and attention economies, while proposing more ethical and human-centered approaches to design.
